Thanks for compiling this great site. I also liked reading the script.
Count me as one of the late comers to the charms of this movie. I caught it a few times on a recent cycle of showings on the HBO channels.
Now I have to buy the DVD. Although I've heard it doesn't have "extra features" like most do. Hopefully a 20th anniversary edition will come out that does.

Well i would have never thought in a million years that there would have been something like this set up for this movie, have liked this film ever since i rented it from my local video shop back in 88, mary stuart masterson has been a favourite of mine ever since. The soundtrack is great as well, it opitomizes the 80's brilliantly, everytime i hear it it reinforces how bad the music is today, boy bands and gangster rap with what is supposed to be r`n`b, talentless trash.
Oh by the way, i wonder if that Nate character who also has an entry in this guestbook actually talk the way he writes, if so, i couldn't spend 3 seconds in the same room as him, he's just soooo annoying sounding.

Thank you for this great website.

Some Kind of Wonderful is a special movie for my wife and me. Before we were married I played her Lick the Tins excellent version of "I can't help falling in love with you" from the soundtrack CD and we discovered that we both loved the film. In fact, we had both seen it late one night on TV at opposite ends of the country without knowing the other was watching and loved it. By an amazing co-incidence it was on telly one night during our honeymoon!

The soundtrack features numerous classic 80's songs, and Eric Stoltz and Mary Stuart Masterton give stirring performances. A wonderful film that remains one of our all-time favourites.

I'm only 19, and recently watched this film on TV probably not even a week ago. I'm a huge fan of 80's movies, especially John Hughs' work. I immediately became obsessed, posting on IMDB, obtaining the film, and most of the soundtrack. All the actors in this film were great, and SKOW was written and directed very well. Although this movie came out the year I was born, I wish I could've been there to sit in the theatres and watch this masterpiece of a teen flick. Thanks somekindofwonderful.org for creating this website.

Thanks for the great site. It's comforting to know that there are others out there who share my weird obsession with this film. I saw it in the theatre when I was 14 and I've watched it a dozen times since.

My brush with SKOW greatness: last year, Elias Koteas was eating dinner at a table next to me here in town. Very cool. He's been in a lot of great films.
